update on me......Shelley

My heart is so full. I feel the the peace and comfort that only comes from the gift of the Holy Ghost. I know that Heavenly Father loves me. I know He has not forgotten us. I feel His love each day. each minute. I know that my Jordan is with loved ones and is busy doing the Lords work. I also feel him here helping me explain things to our kids.

Last night I had a dream... Jordan and I were in a small space of some kind I asked him if he could give me a blessing and he said no I can't, I'm on a mission. He was glowing and his eyes were red... like he'd been crying.

I went upstairs and found Chantel still in bed but awake. I said, "Chantel guess what? I had a dream about daddy last night!" She sat right up in bed and said, "Me too mom! He smiled at me and so did uncle Jed and Grandpa Mingo."

It was a sweet experience. I have had too many tender mercies to doubt..... I know that Heavenly Father lives, and I am so thankful to my older brother, Jesus Christ, that he made it possible so that we can be an eternal family!!!!!

If you are looking for something to boost your spirits, read Alma 13. After I read that, I was at the temple, I felt so much peace. It helped me to understand what Jordan is doing... I'm so glad I was lucky enough to be married to him. After we got home from the temple, I opened my scriptures to that page of Alma 13 and on the top right corner years ago I wrote, " WHATS MY MISSION?" This has been on my mind a lot lately. Another tender mercy. I know my first thing is to be a good mom to my kids and the rest, well, I guess I will let the Lord guide me. It's worked so far.... Thanks again for all your love and support and prayers.......Shelley

  4. Shell, I am so glad to hear some inspiring words from you. If anybody can do it, it's you you are such an inspiration. I read an article from Ensign "The influence of righteous women" the prophet Joseph SMith told the sisters, "If you live up to the privileges, the angles cannot be restrained from being your associates" Associates means to join with one, as a partner, ally or friend. That is pretty cool. love ya JAna

  10. Like those above, I thank you for sharing your feelings and tell us "how you are doing!"

Steve and I pray twice a day that you will feel uplifted, full of the spirit, comforted and peace.

I know if you look for them, Shell... you will receive many tender mercies. I know the Lord will not leave you comfortless.

One of my friends wrote this to me on Facebook: "Earth has no sorrow, that Heav'n cannot heal." It's true!

The Savior promises he will "ease your burden" and help you carry it.

I love you for being so brave and showing all of us how to have faith and be strong.

We are cheering you on! Aunt Barb

  11. Shelly it is your cousin Stephanie. I am glad to hear that you are being so well taken care of. I want to be there for you and help any way I can like you were there for me when I was going to BYU. but all I can do is pray. I pray that you can find hope for the future as well as peace. Make sure you wite down the tender mercies and dreams that you have so that when you have a hard day you can look back at them and be comforted

  13. Shelley and those beautiful kids. Please know that Melanie and I are praying for you and also praying how to help. I have a firm testimony of feeling peace beyond comprehention in the midst of great pain and anguish. Stay close to the spirit for that is how we all will get through this life and learn. I am confident Jordan is keeping a prayer in his heart to comfort his family and staying strong and keeping true to the convenants so the Mingo family can be reunited as a an enternal family that will never be seperated again!!!

    Sincerley,

    With deep love.
